The Marathon starts in Byron, Minnesota; a community of 4500 people 8 miles west of Rochester. After running a couple of miles in Byron, runners proceed on rolling country roads for six miles. The course then traverses about 6 miles along a creek and lake before entering the neighborhood streets and parks of Rochester and finishes in Downtown Rochester. The course is closed to traffic and very scenic. Miles 8 to finish are relatively flat. Course is USATF Certified and a Boston Qualifier.
The Half Marathon starts at the Marathon Start and follows the first 12 miles of the marathon course before splitting off at Silver Lake and proceeding along Zumbro River to the finish at Mayo Civic Center.
The 5k starts and finishes on Civic Center Drive in front of the Mayo Civic Center. Course loops around Silver Lake and is very scenic.

Exchange Zone 1 Mile 6.1 - Country Club Rd (County 34) and Harvest Ave N on north side of road.
Drop Off: On the corner of Harvest Ave N and St. Marys Drive NW.
Exchange Zone 2 Mile 12.7 - On East Silver Lake Road in the park on the east side of the lake in the pavilion next to the trail
Drop Off: In the parking lot of the park on East Silver Lake Drive.
This course is a little longer but has you bypassing most of the runner road crossings. Please allow time for runners crossing the road on East Silver Lake Drive just prior to the parking lot.
Exchange Zone 3 Mile 19.5 At Slatterly Park on 10th Street SE at the pavilion.
Drop Off: At 10th St. SE and just east of 9th Ave. SE at the dead-end into Slatterly Park.
The exchange zone is in the park next to the trail that crosses the foot bridge.
